Aribex Recognized by UVEF as “Top 25 Under 5”
OREM, UTAH—21 July 2008—Aribex®, Inc., a world leader in handheld X-ray technologies, has been named to the prestigious “Top 25 Under 5” for the third year in a row by the Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum (UVEF). The award was presented to D. Clark Turner, PhD, president and CEO of Aribex, Inc., at a luncheon on July 10.
“We are very pleased to be recognized as an entrepreneurial leader in our state,” said Dr. Turner. “Last year we were number 14, and this year we’re number 7. This is evidence that all our hard work has been paying off, and it feels great.”
UVEF’s “Top 25 Under 5” seeks to recognize the best emerging companies established by entrepreneurs in the state of Utah. The event is designed to promote those companies who may become leaders in their fields in the state, the region and globally.
“I met Dr. Clark Turner just after he'd developed the initial prototype for the hand-held X-ray device that is now known as Nomad,” Said Shauna Theobald, UVEF 2008 Chair. “Seeing that prototype was a 'slap your forehead' moment for me. It was obvious that this portable diagnostic device would become an invaluable tool in emergency response efforts, humanitarian missions, and military or other remote-location operations. The Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum is proud to honor Dr. Clark Turner and Aribex in recognition for their vision, dedication, and tremendous contributions in making the world a better place.”

The Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum was founded in 1989 as a networking event designed to bring together high-growth businesses, investors, and service providers. UVEF is a catalyst for entrepreneurial activity and synergy in Utah Valley.
