Steve Wood Joins Aribex
Orem, Utah—September 25, 2007 - Steve
Wood has joined Aribex as the Director of Operations.
Mr. Wood, formerly of Rubicon in Salt Lake City, Utah, will
be responsible for managing the manufacturing, production control,
and engineering efforts of Aribex. As Aribex continues to expand
its offerings in handheld x-ray, Mr. Wood’s background and experience
will be invaluable. He joins the Aribex team with nineteen years
of experience in manufacturing, ten years of that experience
in medical manufacturing. He previously served as the Operations
Manager for Boston Scientific, prior to that he was with Kimberly-Clark/Ballard
Medical Products.
“We are pleased to have Steve join our team. His expertise and
knowledge in operations management will be essential as we broaden
our horizons and continue forward developing and manufacturing
revolutionary handheld x-ray devices,” said D. Clark Turner,
PhD, president and CEO of Aribex, Inc.
Aribex’s flagship product, the NOMAD, is a handheld intraoral
x-ray system that allows the operator to stay right next to the
patient during the x-ray. An external backscatter shield and
unique internal radiation shielding ensure operator safety by
reducing radiation exposure well below the regulatory limits.
It has been clinically shown that NOMAD produces diagnostic quality
x-ray, and works equally well with both film and digital imaging
media. NOMAD provides the highest quality images and lowest patient
dosage. NOMAD’s high frequency, 60kv, true DC x-ray generator
provides constant radiation output. This improves image quality
while reducing the dose to the patient.
Aribex, Inc. has quickly become recognized as a worldwide leader
in innovative, handheld x-ray products. The NOMAD x-ray system
was named one of the top 100 dental products for 2006 by Dentistry
Today.
